Year and Make of your Happier Camper?

What’s your tow vehicle?

Previously a Honda Element; currently a Jeep Grand Cherokee

Why did you buy a Happier Camper?

Originally I was looking for something I could tow with my Honda Element which had a towing capacity of 1500 pounds. I thought about getting a small used trailer, but settled on the HC1 because of the ease of cleaning and lack of surfaces that might get moldy.

Tell us about your camper!

My camper gets a lot of use, as I get out in it for about a week a month. I am constantly moving the furniture around depending on if I am alone, with my dogs, bringing a bike, using the camper as an office or studio…

What are your favorite HC features?

The back hatch is awesome, especially since I live in California and there are few bugs to worry about in the summer. I love sitting on the bed in the evening feeling like I am outside.

Best camping trip you’ve taken with your Happier Camper?

I love traveling the eastern side of the Sierra, to the desert up and down Highway 395. There are so many places to explore, hike and photograph.

What’s your next planned camping trip?

I hope to get to Death Valley this December.

What camping destination is on your bucket list?

I look forward to spending time in the southwest visiting the national parks there.

Any advice for new owners?

My advice would be to not get so focused on the camper that it obscures the experiences it will accompany you on.
